Your ceramic tube heat exchanger will save you money.  Consider that a typical ceramic tube heat exchanger costs at least 30% less than a tantalum with the same surface area and offers superior performance.  For most applications, a typical ceramic tube unit costs less than a comparable borosilicate glass or Teflon unit because of its size efficiency.  For most applications you require a much smaller ceramic unit.
